Expert Tips

Lagenandra Silver Powder is a root feeder that thrives in nutrient-rich substrate or with the addition of root tabs. The plant's distinctive silvery powder coating is most pronounced under stable water conditions with moderate lighting. Allow the plant time to establish its root system before expecting significant growth.

Plant individually or in small groups of 2-3 for best visual impact. Once established, the plant is quite hardy and can tolerate a range of conditions. Propagates slowly through rhizome division.

All plants are shipped carefully packaged to ensure they arrive in excellent condition. Live plants may vary slightly in size and colour from photos.

CO2 requirements vary by species. Check the Care Information tab for this specific plant. Many of our plants can thrive without CO2, though growth may be slower.

Most of our aquarium plants are grown submerged (underwater), which means they adapt faster to your tank and are less likely to melt. This gives you stronger roots and instant success. The exception is our terrarium plants, which are grown emersed (above water)
