Shipping policy

Where we ship
Plants, hardscape, equipment and consumables — we ship to all Australian states and territories.
Live fish, shrimp, snails and other livestock — Western Australia only. Biosecurity and welfare requirements mean we cannot ship livestock interstate. If you're outside WA, we can ship plants and gear but not livestock.
Free shipping
- WA orders $100 AUD or more — free standard shipping (excludes heavy items and live fish)
- Interstate orders $150 AUD or more — free standard shipping (excludes heavy items)
Heavy items (large stones, big substrate bags) and live fish do not qualify for free shipping because actual freight is too significant to absorb — you'll see the relevant rate at checkout.

Parcel shipping — calculated by Australia Post
Plants, hardscape, equipment, consumables and heavy items are shipped via Australia Post. Shipping is calculated at checkout based on actual weight and your delivery postcode — you'll see the price before you pay, no surprises.
Heavy items (large stones, big substrate bags) use the same Australia Post Parcel Post pricing — heavier carts cost more, longer distances cost more. Orders over 22 kg need a freight quote — contact us before purchase.
Live fish — WA only
- Pickup at Kenwick — free
- WA Regional Express — postcodes 6200–6699 (Bunbury, Mandurah, Albany, Geraldton, Esperance, Kalgoorlie and rural WA) — $45
- WA Far North Express — postcodes 6700–6797 (Pilbara, Kimberley, including Broome, Karratha, Port Hedland, Kununurra, Carnarvon) — $65
- Remote WA stations / off-network postcodes — we use Qantas Freight airport-to-airport. You collect from your nearest regional airport cargo terminal. Request a shipping quote — we reply within 24 hours.
Processing and dispatch
- Live fish — Mondays and Tuesdays only. We avoid dispatching late in the week so fish don't sit in transit over the weekend.
- Plants — Monday–Friday, typically dispatched the next business day. All plants ship via Australia Post Express regardless of the shipping option chosen at checkout.
- Hardscape, equipment, consumables — Monday–Wednesday, 1–2 business days.
Orders placed before 2 pm AWST on a dispatch day are typically processed the same day. Orders placed after 2 pm, on weekends or on WA public holidays are processed the next business day.
Tracking
You'll receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number once your order leaves us. Track via Australia Post (or Qantas Freight for remote-WA fish orders).
If something goes wrong
Please email us within the relevant window in our Refund Policy:
- Live fish — within 8 hours of delivery, with photos
- Live plants — within 24 hours of delivery, with photos
- Damaged or faulty hardscape, equipment or consumables — within 7 days of delivery
