Kuro Shiro Stone
About this product
Kuro Shiro Stone
Deep black stone flecked with pale mineral inclusions that catch the light like a night sky. Kuro Shiro is a statement rock: dark enough to make every green in the tank read brighter, with just enough sparkle to hold attention up close.
Usage instructions
- Rinse thoroughly under running water before adding to the aquarium
- Position where light hits directly so the mineral flecking is visible
- Pair with pale sand or fine light gravel for maximum contrast
- Cluster in odd numbers with one dominant focal piece
- Suits dark, dramatic layouts and modern minimalist scapes
Recommendations and precautions
- Inert and safe for freshwater tanks, shrimp and live plants
- Sold per kilogram; sizes range from 10 to 30cm
- Rinse well, as darker stone shows dust more readily during setup
- Natural material, so flecking density, shape and size vary between pieces
Why choose Kuro Shiro Stone
Dark hardscape does something no pale stone can: it pushes the background back and makes plant and fish colour jump forward. Kuro Shiro adds the extra dimension of mineral sparkle, which gives the scape detail to reward close viewing rather than just impact from across the room.
⚠️ A note on this natural product
Every stone is one of a kind. Because this is a natural material, its size, shape, texture, colour and mineral markings — and, where sold by weight, the number of pieces you receive — will vary, so the photos are a guide rather than the exact item you'll get. Natural pitting, holes and lighter mineral veining are part of the rock's character, not faults. We can't guarantee a set mix of small, medium or large pieces unless it's arranged with us before purchase.
Want a particular size or shape? Message us before ordering and we'll do our best to hand-pick pieces to suit your scape.
