Brook Rock
About this product
Brook Rock
Smooth, water worn stone with the rounded contours of rock that has spent a long time in moving water. Brook Rock is the quiet achiever of the hardscape range: it does not compete with your planting, it makes the tank look like somewhere real.
Usage instructions
- Rinse thoroughly under running water before adding to the aquarium
- Partially bury the base of each stone in substrate so it reads as emerging from the bed rather than sitting on it
- Cluster in odd numbers and vary the sizes for a natural grouping
- Excellent for stream, riverbed and Australian native biotope layouts
- Pairs well with sand and fine gravel substrates
Recommendations and precautions
- Inert and safe for freshwater tanks, shrimp and live plants
- Smooth surfaces are gentle on delicate finned fish and bottom dwellers
- Sold per kilogram; sizes range from 10 to 30cm
- Natural material, so shape, tone and size vary between pieces
Why choose Brook Rock
Most aquascaping stone is dramatic. Brook Rock is restrained, and that is exactly why it works in layouts where the plants or the fish are meant to be the subject. It is also one of the safest choices for tanks housing corydoras, loaches and other species that spend their lives against the substrate.
⚠️ A note on this natural product
Every stone is one of a kind. Because this is a natural material, its size, shape, texture, colour and mineral markings — and, where sold by weight, the number of pieces you receive — will vary, so the photos are a guide rather than the exact item you'll get. Natural pitting, holes and lighter mineral veining are part of the rock's character, not faults. We can't guarantee a set mix of small, medium or large pieces unless it's arranged with us before purchase.
Want a particular size or shape? Message us before ordering and we'll do our best to hand-pick pieces to suit your scape.
