Description

Care Information
Preparation: Due to its lightweight nature, this wood will float initially and requires proper preparation before use. Soak the wood in water for 1–2 weeks (or longer for larger pieces) to help it become fully waterlogged and sink. You can speed up this process by weighing it down in a bucket or container of water.
Water Parameters: During the soaking process, the wood will release tannins which may tint the water amber. This is completely natural and beneficial—many fish species appreciate the blackwater conditions created by tannins. If you prefer crystal-clear water, continue soaking and changing the water until tannin release reduces.
Maintenance: Once waterlogged and placed in your aquarium, the wood can be secured with rocks or substrate if needed. Position the hollow opening strategically to create natural-looking caves and shelters. Some biofilm may develop initially—this is normal, beneficial for your ecosystem, and will be consumed by shrimp and algae-eating fish.

Returns: We stand behind the quality of our hardscape. If your Hollow Tree Stump has any defects or you're not satisfied, contact us within 7 days for a refund or replacement under our Refund Policy. Please note: due to the natural variation in size, shape, and hollow structure, we cannot accept returns based on aesthetic preferences—each piece is one-of-a-kind.

Because this is a natural material, its size, shape, form, grain and colour — and, where sold by weight, the number of pieces you receive — will vary, so the photos are a guide rather than the exact item you'll get. Natural knots, curves, texture and colour variation are part of the wood's character, not faults. We can't guarantee a set mix of small, medium or large pieces unless it's arranged with us before purchase.
