About this product

Kakadu Gravel is a premium natural substrate inspired by the rugged beauty of Australia’s Kakadu landscapes. With its earthy mix of warm browns, tans, and subtle reddish hues, it brings a natural riverbed aesthetic to freshwater aquariums, enhancing the overall aquascape with an authentic, organic feel.

The gravel is 100% aquarium-safe and will not alter water chemistry, making it suitable for a wide range of freshwater fish, shrimp, and plants. Its smooth, rounded grains protect bottom-dwellers from injury, while the natural porosity of the substrate helps support healthy biological filtration by encouraging beneficial bacteria colonization.

Perfect for use in planted tanks, aquascapes, and decorative layouts, Kakadu Gravel provides an ideal base layer for rooted plants and can be combined with finer substrates to support vibrant plant growth. It is also versatile enough to be used as an accent substrate to create paths, highlights, or natural contrasts within the aquarium.

Durable, low-maintenance, and visually striking, Kakadu Gravel is the perfect choice for aquarists seeking to recreate a realistic, natural environment that promotes both beauty and balance in their tanks.
