Expert Tips from School Of Scape
Cryptocoryne 'Green Gecko' is remarkably adaptable and forgiving, making it ideal for beginners and experienced aquascapers alike. Plant directly into nutrient-rich substrate and allow time to establish - Cryptocoryne species may experience initial melt when introduced to new conditions, but will recover with healthy new growth adapted to your tank. This variety responds well to root fertilization and maintains its compact form even in higher light. Position in foreground or midground areas where its vibrant color and unique texture can create natural contrast against other plants. Green Gecko works beautifully in nature aquascapes, providing reliable structure and color without demanding conditions. Once established, this plant is incredibly low-maintenance and will slowly spread through runners to fill in your layout naturally.
