Aquascaping Applications
Alternanthera reineckii ‘Mini’ is ideal for adding a vivid red accent to Nature Aquarium, Dutch-style, and detailed planted layouts. Its compact growth allows it to be used effectively in the foreground or midground, where small groups can create dense patches of colour without overwhelming the surrounding aquascape.
Plant individual portions slightly apart to allow each plantlet room to establish and develop. Regular trimming encourages lateral growth and helps create a fuller, more compact appearance, making it especially effective when contrasted with bright green carpeting or stem plants.
Pro Tip:
For the deepest red colour and most compact growth, provide strong lighting, consistent CO₂ injection, and a balanced fertiliser regimen containing both macro and micronutrients. A nutrient-rich substrate or root fertiliser tabs can further support healthy root development and long-term growth.
Note:
As a living plant, Alternanthera reineckii ‘Mini’ requires separate handling and shipping considerations. Please review our shipping policy for plant-specific delivery information.
