About this fish

Golden Flame Tetra is a vibrant and peaceful schooling fish known for its warm golden-orange tones and lively movement. Its bright colouration makes it a beautiful addition to planted aquariums and community tanks, especially when kept in a group where their natural schooling behaviour can be enjoyed.

This species is generally hardy and well-suited to peaceful community aquariums. Golden Flame Tetras do best in stable, well-maintained tanks with plants, shaded areas, and open swimming space. They are active but not overly aggressive, making them suitable companions for other small, peaceful fish.

Their golden flame-like colouration stands out especially well against green plants, dark substrate, and natural hardscape, making them a great choice for aquascapes needing a pop of colour.
