Feeding: Offer a varied diet. A quality staple (flake or micro-pellet) plus frozen foods (brine shrimp, daphnia, bloodworm) several times per week keeps colour and condition strong.

Compatibility: Best with peaceful, similarly sized tankmates. Avoid fin-nippers with long-finned species and avoid aggressive fish with shy species.

School of Scape quality: We select healthy fish and recommend acclimation and stable parameters for best results.

Most beautiful schooling fish I have ever kept

The Platinum Rummy Nose Tetras from School of Scape are absolutely breathtaking. The solid silver-white body with the vivid red nose and precise black-and-white tail striping creates a fish that looks almost too beautiful to be real. In a school of twelve they create a shimmering silver cloud moving as one through my planted tank. These fish are living water quality indicators. Arrived well packaged and in perfect health. Incredible fish from a great supplier.

Tight schooling behaviour is mesmerising to watch

I have kept standard rummy nose tetras before but the Platinum variety adds an extra dimension of visual impact with that brilliant silver-white body. The schooling behaviour is incredibly tight and watching twelve fish move as a single unit in the aquarium lighting is genuinely mesmerising. The vivid red noses stay bright and saturated which is a great sign of their wellbeing. School of Scape fish arrived in excellent condition. Highly recommend.

Vivid red nose tells me my water quality is perfect

One of the most useful things about Platinum Rummy Nose Tetras is that their vivid red nose colour is a direct indicator of water quality. When the red is bright and saturated everything is in order. It gives me an immediate visual health check that even the best test kit cannot fully replicate. The fish from School of Scape settled in quickly and their red noses have been vivid from day one. Beautiful, useful, and absolutely stunning fish.

Look spectacular in a planted aquascape

Platinum Rummy Nose Tetras are the ideal fish for a planted aquascape. The silver-white body reflects the green of the plants and the vivid red nose provides a warm colour accent that works beautifully against dark substrate and green plant backdrop. A school of ten swimming through a nature aquarium layout is one of the most beautiful sights in the freshwater hobby. School of Scape fish arrived healthy and have been thriving in my 90cm planted tank for two months.

Arrived healthy – no losses whatsoever

I was slightly nervous ordering live fish online but School of Scape packaging and express shipping meant my Platinum Rummy Nose Tetras arrived in perfect condition. All fish were active and healthy on arrival and I had zero losses during acclimatisation or in the weeks following. They settled into my planted tank quickly and are now completely at home, schooling tightly and showing vivid red nose colouration. Excellent experience from start to finish.

Silver body makes the red nose even more dramatic

The Platinum variety silver-white body is what makes it so visually striking compared to standard rummy nose tetras. The contrast between the brilliant silver body, the vivid red nose, and the crisp black-and-white tail stripes is extraordinary. Under bright aquarium lighting the silver scales shimmer and the red nose seems to glow against it. School of Scape specimens are healthy and beautifully coloured. A small school transforms any planted tank instantly.

Perfect tankmates for my planted community tank

Platinum Rummy Nose Tetras have integrated perfectly into my community planted tank alongside small tetras, corydoras, and otocinclus. They are completely peaceful, stay in their school, and do not bother any other inhabitants. Their schooling in the open water provides constant movement and visual interest. The silver-white body and vivid red nose are striking against my dark substrate. School of Scape fish are healthy and beautifully coloured.

School grows tighter with more fish – get at least 10

I started with six Platinum Rummy Nose Tetras and added four more from School of Scape a month later. The difference in schooling tightness with ten versus six is remarkable. In the larger school they move with extraordinary synchronicity. If you are getting these fish, get at least ten. The visual impact scales significantly with school size. All arrivals from School of Scape were healthy and the established fish accepted the newcomers immediately.

Colour faded initially then came back brilliant

A brief honest note: when my Platinum Rummy Nose Tetras arrived the red nose colour was slightly faded from transit stress. Within 48 hours the red returned to vivid saturated intensity that has stayed bright ever since. This is completely normal behaviour for this species and confirms School of Scape fish are healthy. Stressed fish recover quickly, unhealthy fish do not. Two months later they are thriving and stunning. Fully five stars.

Most elegant schooling fish in the freshwater hobby

Of all the schooling fish available for planted tank aquascapes I believe the Platinum Rummy Nose Tetra is the most elegant. The silver-white body, the vivid red nose, and the precise tail markings combine in a fish that looks sculpted and intentional. Watching a school of fifteen move through a mature planted aquascape is one of the most beautiful things you can experience in this hobby. School of Scape fish are quality specimens.
