Description
Honeycomb Wood is a stunning natural hardscape material that has revolutionized the aquascaping world. Characterized by its unique porous, honeycomb-like texture and incredibly lightweight structure, this exotic wood creates dramatic underwater landscapes with an organic, weathered appearance that's impossible to replicate.
Unlike dense traditional driftwoods, Honeycomb Wood's airy structure makes it easy to position and arrange in your aquascape. The natural cavities and textured surface provide perfect attachment points for mosses, Anubias, Bucephalandra, and other epiphytes, while creating intricate hiding spots for shrimp and small fish.

Care Information
Preparation: Rinse thoroughly under running water before use. Due to its lightweight, porous nature, Honeycomb Wood may take 3–7 days to fully waterlog and sink. For faster results, soak in warm water and weigh down with rocks, or boil for 30–60 minutes to speed up saturation.
Water Parameters: Honeycomb Wood releases minimal tannins, resulting in little to no water discoloration. This makes it ideal for crystal-clear aquascapes where you want natural texture without affecting water color.
Maintenance: Rinse occasionally during water changes. Some biofilm may develop in the porous cavities initially—this is normal, beneficial for your ecosystem, and will be consumed by shrimp and algae-eating fish. The porous structure may trap debris, so gentle brushing during maintenance is recommended.

Shipping: Honeycomb Wood ships via Australia Post or StarTrack. WA metro orders typically arrive within 3–5 business days; interstate orders may take 5–10 business days depending on location. Due to its lightweight nature, shipping costs are typically lower than dense hardwoods.
Returns: We stand behind the quality of our hardscape. If your Honeycomb Wood arrives damaged or you're not satisfied, contact us within 7 days for a refund or replacement under our Refund Policy. Please note: due to the natural variation in wood porosity and texture, we cannot accept returns based on appearance preferences—each piece is one-of-a-kind.

Because this is a natural material, its size, shape, form, grain and colour — and, where sold by weight, the number of pieces you receive — will vary, so the photos are a guide rather than the exact item you'll get. Natural knots, curves, texture and colour variation are part of the wood's character, not faults. We can't guarantee a set mix of small, medium or large pieces unless it's arranged with us before purchase.
